Our collection of small Berber rugs have been sourced directly from The Atlas Mountains and have been hand-curated for their excellent quality, simple yet stunning designs and their guaranteed authenticity. Berber/Beni Ourain rugs are handwoven by the Berber Tribes in Morocco. Natural handspun wool is utilized to weave these rugs which acts as a natural stain repellent due to the lanolin present in the wool. These small Beni Ourain rugs would be an ideal runner in a hallway or passage way, or could be used at the foot of your bed as an added focal point. The symbols and motifs featured on these rugs represent different aspects of the Berber life including fertility, sexuality, nature and protection - each rug features the individual artisan's creativity and flair. In addition each rug is a handwoven one-off work of art since no two are alike. For this reason we photograph each of our small Berber rugs individually so the rug you see is the rug you will receive!
